Partnership for Research and Education in Plants (PREP) (funded by NIH/NCRR/SEPA subcontract) news:
GRA Project Coordinator Deanna Lankford organized a second workshop for participating teachers that takes place on Jan. 26, 2008.
Lankford also organized the Exploring Life Sciences Conference. PREP participants, as well as biology teachers and their students from high schools across Missouri, were invited to participate in the second annual Conference on Monday, April 14, 2008, the first day of Missouri Life Sciences Week. Conference presenters include Dr. John Walker, Dr. Mannie Liscum, Dr. Jay Thelen, and Dr. Linda Blockus. A panel discussion includes PREP high school students and teachers commenting on problems encountered and solutions developed as students designed and conducted their own research.
