Assistant Teaching Professor Chris Lee received the 2014 CAFNR Outstanding Early Career Teacher award as part of the College's annual Celebration of Excellence. Lee will be presented his award on Thursday, April 10 at a CAFNR banquet. He has been instrumental in Biochemistry's undergraduate education as he has added an internship course to the curriculum and worked to include industry into his class work.
“Many students comment to me regarding Chris' career and life mentoring,” said Shari Freyermuth, associate teaching professor in Biochemistry.
The Outstanding Early Career Teacher award is awarded to a faculty member with less than six years of teaching experience at the college level. The award is based on classroom/laboratory teaching, teaching outside of the classroom and other teaching-related activities such as workshops, seminars, conferences, etc.
