The honors program in biochemistry gives outstanding students greater academic flexibility and more possibilities for hands-on research experiences. To qualify for the program, a student must have a cumulative GPA of 3.3 or higher after 30 or more credit hours at MU. To graduate with department honors in biochemistry, a student must maintain a GPA of 3.3 or higher and complete a senior thesis.
The MU Honors College offers Mizzou undergraduate students with a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher specialized courses and academic opportunities with the option of earning an honors certificate after 20 hours of honors coursework.
