Program of Study
Students receive a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in biochemistry. This degree is designed to prepare students for graduate study, professional schools or direct entry into the workplace.

For students who started at MU before fall semester 2015:

Undergraduate Research for credit (beginning summer 2017):
- Biochm 2950 - Undergraduate Research in Biochemistry: Intended for students in which independent research is less than 50 percent of the experience. Graded on S/U basis only. Cannot be used for advanced science requirement in biochemistry.
- Biochm 4950 - Advanced Undergraduate Research in Biochemistry: Up to three hours can be used toward the advanced science requirement in biochemistry.
- Biochm 4996H - Honors Research in Biochemistry: Designed for students in their final year who are completing a biochemistry honors thesis. Must be honors eligible.
